Banned Book Week

September 25th to October 2nd is banned book week. It celebrates the freedom to read all books. I encourage everyone to read a banned book this week. Some banned books are as well known as the Bible and the dictionary; even Harry Potter and Twilight have been considered banned in some places.

Biggest Time Waster EVER!!!

Hi everybody. At last, Friday has come, and the weekend has started. That means a few precious days without work or school. This is generally the time when people do the things that they do not have the time to do Monday-Friday. Things such as addictive games, reading books in one sitting, hiking, underwater yoga. Well, I have something more to add. It falls in the addicting games category, and is called Ball Droppings. I know it doesn't sound very exciting, but if you find that you have beaten the last level of angry birds, or don't have a good book to read, or it is too rainy and muddy to go on a hike, you might want to give this a try.

Amazing Song

When I hear this song, I think of some great banquet hall all decorated for a winter gala. There are candles in crystal chandeliers and wreaths of holly, and fir boughs, and velvet ribbons are hung everywhere, wound around wooden beams. Lords and ladies are dressed up in bright colors, and are wearing exotic masks. Then the king enters the hall, and at 1:17, everyone stops their dancing momentarily to look at their king in all his finery, then the sweeping dance starts up again.

Tired Pony

These photos were snapped by my sister. The pony that is in them is my horse, Ciara. (key-r-ah). I had been working her hard that night, and it was about eight o'clock, she yawned about five times in a row! I have never seen her yawn so much, she makes yawning look cute in a hilarious way. (Feel free to add captions as comments if you wish! ;-))

That Humans blink over 10,000,000 times a year?

Or that in England in the 1880's, 'pants' was considered a bad word?
The pants I did not!
